Invati’s Impact Outreach Program

Our Invati impact outreach program is making a significant impact both globally and within our own communities within the Okanagan.

We have been actively reaching out to small, impoverished villages in countries like Ecuador and Nicaragua, focusing on providing support and assistance through our recent and future retreats. These retreats have proven to be life-changing for all those involved. We have had the honour of being welcomed into small villages to help with the neuturing of dogs, helping at english speaking schools, fed villages that lack basic necessities like healthy food, helped with a build for a seniors center, provided children with clothes, toys and learning books.

Over the past 6 years, we have worked closely with organizations like Hope Outreach within Kelowna and Vernon, and now we have established our own in-body outreach program. The support and generosity of our community members have been instrumental in the success of our local outreach efforts. Many individuals have donated their time, food, clothing, blankets, Christmas gifts, gift cards, and other essential items, as well as making cash donations. These contributions have made a significant difference and have touched the lives of many struggling homeless individuals. If you would like more information on how you can get involved in our Invati impact program, please feel free to email us at invatiyoga@gmail.com.

We would be happy to provide you with more details and discuss how you can make a positive impact through our outreach initiatives.

Our latest ‘Invati Health and Impact Retreat’ in Nicaragua, November 23-30, 2024, and I must say, it has been an unbelievable experience for each and every one of us once again! The week provided us with so many invaluable takeaways.

We dove deep into ourselves through yoga classes that were both challenging and restorative, while our silent meditation beach walks offered a calming, grounding, and enlightening experience. One of the most impactful parts of our week was the work we did with Ramon and his Tortugas. We spent countless hours searching the beach at night for Momma turtles laying their eggs, feeding the hatchlings, and changing the water in their tubs. We released both babies and a few older turtles that Ramon had been caring for. Our efforts extended beyond the turtles; we shared our donations with the village, purchasing enough food to feed over 150 men, women, and children. We learned how they prepare and cook and then were honoured to serve each special person, young and old. We planted mangrove seeds and were thrilled to see the impact of the seeds we planted back in March, 2024! Our beach cleanup at Padre Ramos was made even better by the locals who joined us. The warmth and gratitude we received from the villages of Jiquilillo and Los Zorros filled us with emotion. The way they embraced us and treated us like family was truly heartwarming. We also provided dog food to over 100 dogs in the village, as many homes have 3 to 7 dogs!
